Thanks MAI (Myanmar Airways International) for reducing the price for the people who are facing difficulties to come back.
Myanmar’s national airline will halve ticket prices for workers who want to return from Malaysia where they face growing violence, it said on Tuesday.
Myanmar Airlines International’s marketing manager Aye Mra Thar said the discount will run from June 12 to July 12, and be available only to citizens working in Malaysia.
YANGON, Myanmar – A domestic Myanma Airways flight had a minor landing mishap Monday, one of two on the same day in Asia involving the same model of Chinese-made twin turboprop aircraft. There were no deaths in either accident.
The accident, the third since late December, comes as Myanmar is experiencing a boom in tourism after instituting democratic reforms that caused western nations to lift most longstanding sanctions that had been applied against the previous repressive military regime.
Myanmar state television showed the scene of the bad landing in Kawthaung in southeastern Myanmar. The Facebook page of the national police said the aircraft carrying four crew members and 60 passengers swerved off one side of the runway on landing Monday on a flight from Mawlamyine that had originated from Yangon, the country’s biggest city.
State-owned Myanmar Airways skidded off the runway on landing at the Kawthaung Airport in southern Myanmar on Monday due to a hydraulic system failure. No injuries were reported.
The Chinese-made MA60 plane, carrying 60 passengers and 4 flight crew, skidded about 200 feet west of the runway and came to rest in some bushes. Both propellers on the plane’s wings have been damaged but no one was injured.
“[The pilot] took caution in landing the airplane after seeing the hydraulic system failure signal. After the plane’s wheel touched the runway, the plane skidded off about 200 feet from the runway’s edge,” said Than Htun, managing director of Myanmar Airways.
The airplane operates daily domestic flights from Yangon to Mawlamyaing and Kawthaung.
“After the plane took off it returned back to Yangon, which they said was due to mechanical errors. Nothing happened on the way from Yangon to Mawlamyaing. It only happened when we arrived in Kawthaung. The passengers were in chaos and a baby fell under the seat,” said a passenger.
A similar event occurred on May 16 in which the MA60 plane with registration XY-AIQ on Heho-Monghsat flight overran the runaway on landing at Monghsat airport because of a brake problem, causing two serious injuries and substantial damage to the aircraft. Nearly 10 Burmese were reportedly killed in Malaysia in the recent time by the suspected Muslim goons. The political observers suspect that it was the retaliatory actions by the local Muslim community on migrant Burmese there to take revenges against the ongoing attacks on Muslims inside Burma.

Re: Reporting the Slaughtering of Burmese people in Malaysia
Dear The Honourable Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak,
I am wring this letter to inform you injustice facing of our Burmese people in Malaysia.
Burmese migrant workers in Malaysia are violently slaughtered almost every day
in recent weeks by state-sponsored crimes as the retaliation of recent conflicts in Burma.
According to the reports, we have learnt that these atrocious and barbaric attacks were pre-arranged and pre-plotted.We are very concerned that Burmese especially Buddhists and non-Muslims are brutally murdered and slayed to death in Malaysia.
Burmese and Buddhist migrant workers are the minority in Malaysia and Malaysia government is so far failed to protect the people of Burma. It seems that Malaysian government got no will to stop killing of non-Muslim Burmese migrant workers.
We believe in non-violent committed and we denounce any form of violent or
terrorist action taken by any group or any person.
Therefore, we call for your government to kindly address this issues urgently and
to help protecting Burmese citizens residing and working in Malaysia who are facing imminent and immediate loss of their lives.
BURMA DEMOCRATIC CONCERN-BDC : Dear Friends, Can you please send email, tweet and post on your face book profile following message in ENGLISH as much as you can to Malaysian embassies around the world so that international community will know the suffering of Burmese migrant workers in Malaysia. Thanks U Htay Tint for your dedication and list of Malaysian embassies around the world. >>> Malaysia government must stop killing Buddhists, Christians, Hindus & non-Muslims Burmese migrant workers by state-sponsored gangs.
