-อายุไม่ถึง 20 ปี บริบูรณ์จำนวน 100 คน /และใน 100 คน ไม่มีบัตรประชาชน 32 คน
-อายุผ่านแต่ไม่พกบัตรประชาชน 12 คน
-ตรวจปัสาวะพบสารเสพติด 5 ราย – ชาย 3 คน หญิง 1 คน เยาวชนอายุไม่ถึง 18 ปี 1 คน
จนท.ตรวจพบยาเสพติดซุกซ่อน ตามตู้ลำโพงและทิ้งตามห้องน้ำ ดังนี้

เมื่อเวลา 11.00 น. อดีตนักโทษยาเสพติดหิ้วอาหารเยี่ยมผู้ต้องขังในเรือนจำอ่างทอง แอบซุกยาบ้าใส่ในท้องปลาทู 7 ตัว รวม 105 เม็ด ตบตาเจ้าหน้าที่หวังส่งต่อให้ผู้ต้องขังในเรืองจำอ่างทอง เจ้าตัวอ้างไม่รู้ว่าในปลาทูทอดมียาบ้ายัดใส้อยู่ โยนเพื่อนชื่อเก๋ ฝากให้นำมาเยี่ยมนักโทษ แต่ ตร.ไม่เชื่อ

ทหารพรานค่ายมลิกา ปิดล้อมตรวจต้นยาเสพติดพื้นที่บ้านจะโต๊ะ หมู่ 9 ต.บ้านหลวง อ.แม่อาย จ.เชียงใหม่ เมื่อประมาณ 03.00 น. โดยปะทะกับขบวนการคุ้มกันแหล่งพักยาเสพติด ประมาณ 18-20 คน นานกว่า 3 ชั่วโมง ไม่มีผู้ใดได้รับบาดเจ็บ โดยสามารถควบคุมคนร้ายได้ 4 คน พร้อมอาวุธสงครามและยาเสพติดจำนวนมาก
เบื้องต้นคาดว่ากลุ่มที่ปะทะกับทหารพรานเป็นกลุ่มของนายจะคา จะก่อ เจ้าของโรงเรียนอักษราพักษ์ บ้านหนองตุ้ม ต.เวียง อ.ฝาง เครือข่ายของพันเอกจะลอโบ่ และนายวีระ หมื่นจะดา

A Lieutenant, dressed in his uniform, was arrested by ONCB with 1.3 million methamphetamine tablets and 30kg of crystal methamphetamine hidden in the panels of his black Ford Ranger pickup truck.
On 10th January, 2013, at 5:30 p.m., Vichai Chaimongkol, director of Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) Region 5, with Pol. Maj. Gen. Wanchai Suwansirikhet, commander of Chiang Rai station, Pol. Col. Weerawuth Chaichanamongkol, superintendent of Mae Chan station, Chiang Rai, with officers of Maejan station with Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NCB) and officers from ONCB Region 5 had enlisted forces to expand the search to arrest drug dealers in Mae Suai and followed a black Ford Ranger, suspected from delivering a large package of drugs. The driver realized he was being followed and sped away to escape. The cars reached Mae Chan where they managed to cut in front of the truck and stop the truck.
Police found the driver, Mr. Surapol Phromvijit, dressed in a lieutenant’s uniform with the identity card of Internal Security Operational Command stating that he was a special officer with responsibilities of border patrol and international security intelligence.
While the officers were arresting Mr. Surapol, he boasted to the officers about who he was and refused to allow them to search the truck. However, police enacted the search anyway and found over 1,300,000 yaba pills hidden in the back seat of the cab and 30 kg of ice. He was arrested and taken to Region 5 Police Bureau.
This is not the first arrest of officers delivering drugs, with the latest case in Nan in 2012 when a Lieutenant and four non-commissioned officers were arrested delivering drugs in a police car from Chiang Rai to Ayutthaya.

Cop busted selling drugs re-arrested with more drugs

The Chiang Mai investigators continue their search into the now disgraced ex-policeman Phermsak Kawin, age 41 who was arrested at a police checkpoint in Fang with 17,800 methamphetamine tablets to deliver to customers in the city. He told police at the time that he had been hired by Muser tribesmen in Myanmar to deliver the drugs for 100,000 Baht.
However, further investigation shows that the ex-policeman was doing more than delivering and police obtained a search warrant for his rooms in Chiang Mai where they found 200 grams of heroin, 1,800 grams of Ya-ice or crystal methamphetamine and 1,000 pills of yaba as well as drug paraphernalia. He has been re-arrested and faces further legal proceedings.

The letter by Gary Lewis from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in PostBag last Sunday, written in regard to a Spectrum article the previous week, is palpably disingenuous. Let me make four points. First, Mr Lewis notes that the elimination of poppy crops in 2011 occurred mainly in areas subject to ceasefire agreements. This is hardly surprising. For more than a decade, more than 95% of drug production in Myanmar has been in ceasefire areas. Indeed, implicit in the ceasefire agreements, beginning with the agreement with the United Wa State Army in 1989, has been the right to essentially untrammeled drug production with appropriate payments to Myanmar army officers and other officials who have expedited the trafficking.
Second, Mr Lewis neglects to point out that while opium production in Myanmar decreased from 1996 to 2006, there was an enormous surge in the production of methamphetamines (ya ba) during this period. Many of the chemists and laboratory facilities previously used for the conversion of opium into heroin were re-employed in the production of ya ba, making Myanmar the largest producer of methamphetamines in the world. By 1998, the annual flow of ya ba into Thailand had reached around 600 million tablets a year. Over the next decade, it averaged around 800 million tablets a year. In 2010, it reached nearly one billion tablets.
Counting both opium/heroin and methamphetamine production, Myanmar can fairly be called the largest producer of illegal narcotics in the world. The UNODC reported in November 2011 that no methamphetamine manufacturing facility in Myanmar has ever been seized. However, there is not a single mention of methamphetamine production in Mr Lewis’ letter. One of unintended side effects of the Burma Army’s offensive against the Shan State Army (SSA) North as well as the Shan State Army (SSA) South campaign against Burma Army supported People’s Militia Forces (PMFs) last year was the displacement of refineries in Shan State South as well as skilled chemists working there, according to sources from Shan State East.
Heroin
As a result of their re-employment with the PMFs in Shan State East, the quality of heroin there has increased significantly. “We used to say Markkieng and Nayai PMFs (in Namzang townships) produced #1 quality Kheptin (slippers, slang for heroin blocks) until a few monthly back,” one of businessmen in Monghsat to SHAN. “No more. The quality of Kheptin produced in Tang Hseng (in Monghsat township), Punako (also in Monghsat township) and Nampong (Tachilek township) has become just as high. Even the Wa recognize the fact.”
The Burma Army, from March to August 2011, had launched an offensive against the SSA North that had refused to be transformed into a PMF. The offensive was reinforced by constructions of chain fortifications by the newly formed Central Eastern Region Command, the 4th regional army in Shan State.
The SSA South in the meanwhile had been warring against PMFs, particularly those that had actively taken part in the Burma Army’s campaigns against it. One outcome was the seizure of cooked opium, #3 heroin, precursors and paraphernalia used in the manufacturing of #4 heroin, at the main base of Wanpang PMF in Laikha township in December.
The result was the migration of refineries and chemists into Shan State East, where the SSA is less active.
“The Wa may still be #1 when it comes to Ice (crystal methamphetamine) and yaba (methamphetamine pills),” said another businessman coming from Kengtung. “But Lahu PMFs have now emerged as #1 in heroin.”
Sources in Shan State East say the real owner of the 8.7 million yaba pills and 52.8 kg of heroin seized on Monday, 13 February, has been strictly left alone by the military authorities.
They had instead took into custody Miju, an Akha woman, whose husband Ah Mu had managed to slip away, when the raiding party led by Col Khin Maung Soe, Commander of the Tachilek Operational Command, entered the village of Pha Khao in Loi Taw Kham tract. Two other suspects, Ah Ka and Ah Kar, also got away, according to ASTV The Manager Online.

It did not mention anything about Ah Mae, age around 47, a former militia leader who is believed to be the real owner.
Sources say Ah Mae, sponsored by a Thai in Chiangrai, has been producing yaba (methamphetamine) for years. “He is close to most Burmese officials in Tachilek, including Col Khin Maung Soe,” said one. “He is known as a mobile ATM (Automated Teller Machine) by them, who often asked for monetary contributions from him, either for their personal or public undertakings.” Continue reading “Burma Army makes record seizure on Heroin and Yaba, but owner gets away”
