วันที่ 5 มิ.ย.57 เวลา 15.00 น. พล.ต.ต.เชษฐา โกมลวรรธนะ ผบก.สส.ภ.2,พ.ต.อ.ธีรพล จินดาหลวง รอง ผบก.สส.ภ.2 พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ บก.สส.ภ.2 แถลงข่าวการจับกุมตัวผู้ต้องหาคดียาเสพติด-อาวุธปืน รวมผู้ต้องหา จำนวน 5 คนและตรวจยึดอาวุธปืนสงคราม จำนวน 1 ราย ยึดของกลางและทรัพย์สินเกี่ยวเนื่องการกระทำผิด ดังนี้
1.อาวุธปืนยาว แบบเอเค 47 (อาก้า) จำนวน 1 กระบอก พร้อมแมกกาซีน จำนวน 1 อัน (ตรวจยึด)
2. กระสุนปืนยาว แบบเอเค จำนวน 71 นัด (ตรวจยึด)
3. อาวุธปืนพกสั้น ขนาด .38 จำนวน 2 กระบอก
4. กระสุนปืนขนาด .38 จำนวน 33 นัด
5. ยาบ้า รวมจำนวน 14,697 เม็ด
6. ยาไอซ์ น้ำหนักรวม 16.80 กรัม

The accident took place at about 5 a.m. on the Ban Bung-Klaeng road when a Mitsubishi Pajero SUV struck the elephant. The accident prompted a following pick-up truck to avoid hitting the beast and slammed into the rear of a six wheeler killing six passengers and injuring two others.
Si Racha park officials were dispatched to the scene of the accident with a plan to move the injured elephant to an elephant hospital in Kanchanaburi’s Saiyoke district for treatment. However, the beast died before it could be taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, another team of some 30 officials from Ang Rue Nai wildlife sanctuary were dispatched to the scene where two male elephants were reported to have been sighted as they appeared to come to tend to the dead beast.

Black waves of crude oil have washed up on a beach at a popular tourist island in Thailand’s eastern sea, after an oil spill over the weekend.
Tourists on Samet Island have been warned to stay away from the polluted beach. 300 workers are leading clean-up efforts, and have been joined by Thai Navy vessels. The bay has been closed down, with authorities declaring a disaster zone. They say it will take some time to assess the environmental damage. About 50 tons of oil spilled into the sea off Rayong province on Saturday morning.
The leak sprung in a pipeline operated by a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas company PPT Plc. The company says it has flown in oil spill management experts and a plane from Singapore to get rid of the crude oil.
