ตำรวจทหารพม่า บุกค้นสำนักงานติดต่อ RCSS/SSA ในเชียงตุง

เมื่อ ๖ พ.ค.๕๗ เวลาประมาณ ๑๐๐๐ น. ขณะที่ ผู้แทน RCSS/SSA , ตัวแทนพรรคหัวเสือ, พรรคเสือเผือก, พรรค NLD และกลุ่มเยาวชนไต ประชุมกันที่สำนักงานติดต่อ RCSS/SSA เชียงตุง เพื่อหาทางช่วยเหลือ จายเจ๋ง (ชาวแอ่น) หน.พรรคหัวเสือ สาขาบ้านน้ำหนิม ที่ถูกทหารพม่า พัน.ร.๒๔๕ จับกุมตัวไปเมื่อวาน

ทหารพม่าได้มาตามตัว จนท.ติดต่อ RCSS/SSA ให้ไปพบที่ บก.ภาคสามเหลี่ยม จายโจเมิง จนท.ติดต่อ กับผู้ติดตามอีก ๒ คน เมื่อไปที่ บก.ภาคสามเหลี่ยม พูดกับ สธ.๑ นานประมาณ ๓ ชม. ไม่มีเรื่องสำคัญอะไร หลังจากนั้นทหารพม่าก็ให้ไปพบหัวหน้าหน่วยข่าวกรองทางทหาร (สะระพะ – MAS) รออยู่นานกว่า ๑ ชม.ก็ไม่ได้พบใคร จะกลับก็กลับไม่ได้ เพราะมีทหารพม่านอกเครื่องแบบ กันไว้ไม่ให้ออกไปไหน

เมื่อกลับมา จึงทราบว่า ร.ต.อ.เหน่ลิน ได้นำกำลังตำรวจและทหารพม่า ประมาณ ๒๐ คน มาปิดล้อมสำนักงานติดต่อ RCSS/SSA และร่วมกับหน่วยข่าวกรองทางทหาร เข้าไปรื้อค้นหาสิ่งของตามห้องต่าง ๆ ( ไม่ทราบว่าค้นหาอะไร) เมื่อไม่พบก็กลับไป

อนึง เมื่อ ๕ พ.ค.๕๗ บก.ภาคสามเหลี่ยม ได้ตามตัว จายโจเมิง ไปสอบถามเรื่อง ผู้ใหญ่บ้านคนหนึ่งในเขต ต.เมืองตุ๋ง ที่หายตัวไป <ข่าว taifreedom – ภาพ Sai Latt>

RCSS/SSA and Naypyitaw have agreed on 11 points on peace talks

Shan ethnic arm group and Naypiytaw have signed on the 11 points agreement at the peace talks meeting in Kengtung on Saturday, according to SHAN’s sources reported from Kengtung, capital of Shan State East.

This is another 11 points agreement that have signed by both Shan State Army – South and also known as Restoration Council of Shan State and Thein Sein government since the two sides began peace talks late last year.

Earlier this year, the two sides have signed 11 points agreement when the first round State level peace talks was held in Taunggyi, the capital city of Shan State in January 15.

Naypyitaw has ordered closure of its Hongpang bus line

Following its refusal to renew operating license of the Wa’s Yangon Airways in December, Naypyitaw has ordered closure of its Hongpang bus line that runs between Tachilek, opposite Thailand’s Mae Sai, and , 160 km north of the border, according to a report received by SHAN.

Hongpang had already transferred ownership to Hsarm Tao, its subsidiary firm more than a year ago. It was managed by Khun Hsai Hsook, believed to be a member of the United Wa State Army (UWSA).

The order was delivered to the UWSA’s liaison officer Ah Chang in Kengtung on Sunday, 20 February, by General Staff Officer Grade 1 Col Khin Maung Htwe, said a source close to the Wa.

Moreover, Ah Chang was told all vehicles owned by the Wa must obtain official permission before embarking on a trip. “The noose has tightened,” the source quoted a Hsarm Tao employee as saying.

The Hongpang signboard near the Hsarm Tao bus station at the foothills of Loi Pangkoi, Mong Zame village tract, 13 miles south of Kengtung, where it also has a livestock farm, has also been pulled down.

There are 2 other bus lines running between the two cities: Shwe Myodaw and Shwe Yegan. The bus fare is K 4,000 (roughly $ 4) per passenger.

 

The R3b, or the road from China’s Jing Hong to Thailand’s Chiangrai through Burma’s Kengtung, is shorter but exorbitant fees imposed by various checkpoints along the way have posed a real challenge, said a Chinese official at a meeting with Chiangrai authorities on Monday, according to The Manager Online.

Xixuangbanna autonomous prefecture will be dispatching an envoy to Kengtung, the capital of Eastern Shan State, to discuss the matter, added Mr Qian Min.

In contrast, the R3a or the Jinghong-Chiangrai road via Laos’ Bo Ten, though longer is a lot less challenging, according to locals.

The meeting was hosted by Sumeth Saengnimnual, Governor of Chiangrai, for his counterpart from Xixuangbanna, known by Thais, Laos and Shans as Sibsawngpanna (12,000 rice fields), Ms Dao Lin-in and her delegation.

The Burmese side of the Mongla-Daluo checkpoint is under the control of the ceasefire group National Democratic Alliance Army-Eastern Shan State (NDAA-ESS), led by Sai Leun aka Lin Mingxian. The 20th anniversary of the group’s “peace” with the country’s military rulers was celebrated on 30 June.
