Two paramilitary rangers were shot dead in Narathiwat on Sunday while many other rangers were wounded in bombing and shooting attacks in Pattani and Narathiwat provinces this morning.

The fatalities resulted from a gun ambush against a paramilitary ranger vehicle in Narathiwat’s Si Sakhon district yesterday.

In addition to the two ranger fatalities, five others were wounded.

Security authorities hunted for suspects in five Kalong sub-district villages. More than 100 spent shells were found at the ambush site and authorities estimated that at least six gunmen were involved in the attack.

In a separate incident, a roadside bomb was detonated while six paramilitary rangers were on foot patrol to provide safety for teachers and students on Road Number 42 (Narathiwat-Pattani) in Pattani’s Yaring district.

The blast wounded two rangers. The attackers followed up the bombing with gunfire at the rangers and then fled.

In Bacho district of Narathiwat, security personnel exchanged gunfire with suspected insurgents, who later retreated toward a local village. The authorities seized their weapons and hunted for them. (MCOT)

หัวหน้าคสช.เข้าใจ สหรัฐ-อียู คัดค้านการบริหารประเทศ แต่ต้องคำนึงศักดิ์ศรีประเทศไทยด้วย

ในการประชุมคณะรักษาความสงบแห่งชาติ หรือคสช. พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา หัวหน้าคณะรักษาความสงบแห่งชาติ (คสช.) เป็นประธานการประชุม พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ กล่าวในการประชุมตอนหนึ่งว่า ปัจจุบันงานของ คสช.มีหลายเรื่องที่จะต้องเดินหน้าไปด้วยความรวดเร็ว ลดขั้นตอนให้มากขึ้น เนื่องจากยังมีปัญหาในการปฏิบัติ อย่างไรก็ตาม ขอขอบคุณเจ้าหน้าที่ที่ได้ร่วมมือในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ด้านต่างๆ ทำให้งานของ คสช.เดินหน้าไปได้ ส่วนกรณีสหรัฐอเมริกาและยุโรปมีท่าทีคัดค้านการเข้าบริหารงานของ คสช.อยู่บ้างนั้น ก็เข้าใจ แต่ก็ต้องคำนึงถึงศักดิ์ศรีของประเทศไทยด้วย

สำหรับการประชุม มีการพิจารณา รายงานความก้าวหน้าเกี่ยวกับการช่วยเหลือเกษตรกรผู้ปลูกข้าว และ รายงานการชดใช้คืนเงินทดรองราชการตามโครงการรับจำนำข้าวเปลือก ปีการผลิต 2556/2557 ส่วนเรื่องเพื่อพิจารณามีจำนวน 17 เรื่องเช่นโครงการประกันภัยข้าวนาปี ปีการผลิต 2557 การขออนุมัติจัดสรรงบประมาณรายจ่ายประจำปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ.2557 ส่วนเรื่องอื่น ๆ จะมีการชี้แจงเรื่องโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านการคมนาคม และความคืบหน้าผลการดำเนินการเกี่ยวกับปัญหาแรงงานต่างด้าวด้วย

ขณะที่บรรยากาศหน้ากองบัญชาการกองทัพบก ยังคงมีประชาชนและตัวแทนกลุ่มต่างๆ เดินทางมาร้องเรียนต่อเนื่อง อาทิ ชาวชุมชนตลาดเฉลิมลาภประตูน้ำ และอีก 4 ชุมชนใกล้เคียง มายื่นหนังสือขอความเป็นธรรมต่อหัวหน้า คสช. หลังจากสำนักงานทรัพย์สินพระมหากษัตริย์บอกเลิกการเช่า และให้ออกจากพื้นที่ทั้งหมด เพื่อให้บริษัทเอกชนซึ่งชนะการประมูลเข้ามาพัฒนาพื้นที่เป็นห้างสรรพสินค้า CR. js100.com

เมื่อเวลา 11.00 น. อดีตนักโทษยาเสพติดหิ้วอาหารเยี่ยมผู้ต้องขังในเรือนจำอ่างทอง แอบซุกยาบ้าใส่ในท้องปลาทู 7 ตัว รวม 105 เม็ด ตบตาเจ้าหน้าที่หวังส่งต่อให้ผู้ต้องขังในเรืองจำอ่างทอง เจ้าตัวอ้างไม่รู้ว่าในปลาทูทอดมียาบ้ายัดใส้อยู่ โยนเพื่อนชื่อเก๋ ฝากให้นำมาเยี่ยมนักโทษ แต่ ตร.ไม่เชื่อ

BUENG KAN, 23 June 2014 (NNT) – Police and military personnel have cooperated to set up check points along border areas in order to prevent the entry of illegal immigrants.

Squads of police, soldiers, scouts, and the Mae Khong Riverine Unit have intercepted and searched illegal immigrants for weapons and smuggled drugs along Thailand’s border heading into Bueng Kan Province. br />
Since the military authority announced its intention to prosecute illegal immigrants in Thailand, the illegal immigrants from neighboring countries have continued to return to their hometowns leaving a labor deficiency especially in construction sites and fisheries in Thailand.

The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has since advised that the migrant laborers can come to work in Thailand if their employers obtain a legal permit.

Therefore, the authorities have set up check points in order to create a system for legal laborers and to suppress illegal entry while following the law and the NCPO’s policy at road number 222, Bueng Kan Province.##

NONGKHAI, 23 June 2014 (NNT) – The atmosphere at the 1st Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge, Nong Khai Province is lively after the military junta announced an extension of the registration time frame for immigrant laborers.

Overall the atmosphere in Nong Khai Province became more lively from early in the morning after the junta announced the extension. A large number of Laotians entered the country through the inbound lanes of the bridge, while the authorities have strictly inspected all incoming people and vehicles crossing the Friendship Bridge. ##

PHETCHABUN, 21 June 2014 (NNT) – The Phetchabun Provincial Authority has traveled around to different businesses throughout the province, asking immigrant laborers to respond to a survey from NCPO on human trafficking and immigration labor problem.
