The finding of the M 60 and M 81 motar shells came after the police were alerted by a village headman.
The headman, Prachum Chumchan, told Phanat Nikhom police that his relative Prasert Chumnan netted a mortar shell while he was fishing at a pond in Village Group 4 of Tambon Sra Siliem in Phanat Nikhom.
Initial examination of the bombs showed that all have codes in Thai, indicating they were produced in Thailand.
