This Friday, Macha Bucha day and Valentine’s Day, is the perfect opportunity. Come declare your love for Thailand between 14 – 16 Feb. 2014 (บอกรักประเทศไทย)
This means that people must join us from all over the country to pressure Yingluck to resign. This Friday, Macha Bucha day and Valentine’s Day, is the perfect opportunity. Come declare your love for Thailand between 14 – 16 Feb. 2014 (บอกรักประเทศไทย) and symbolically break up with Yingluck and the Thaksin regime for good. If we can do so alongside the farmers that will be even better.
The event will be held at all 4 stages, i.e., Pathumwan, Ratchaprasong, Asoke, and Lumpini, and a massive street-fair will line the roads linking these sites. We will start our 3-day Thailand Love Fest with a religious ceremony comprising Buddhist, Christian/Catholic, Islamic, and Sikh services.
Do not be discouraged. Do not ask when we shall prevail but be ready to win at every moment. We will not relent, we will not let up the pressure on Yingluck, and we will continue our fight with conviction and determination. We, the muanmahaprachachon, will never give up until we emerge victorious! Full steam ahead! Thank you and good night.

NAY PYI TAW—Parliamentary Speaker Thura Shwe Mann discussed Myanmar’s top national issues with German President Joachim Gauck at their official meeting yesterday in the nation’s capital.
They discussed national issues such as constitutional amendments, the Rakhine conflict, and foreign debt when Shwe Mann formally received Gauck at the parliament buildings in the capital, according to MP Sai Thiha Kyaw, who attended the meeting.
“They talked about a process under way for the constitutional amendment by two related committees, and about how they are working on it, and about how to handle the issue of the military role in the parliament. He [the German president] also asked about the Rakhine issue. These were the matters they discussed. And they also talked about the possible write-off of 50 percent of Myanmar’s debt to Germany,” said Sai Thiha Kyaw.
The Parliamentary Speaker also mentioned the creation of a federal constitution through constitutional amendment as a national issue, said MP Khin Saw Wai, who also participated in the meeting.
“He replied to the German president that it’s up to the people’s desire to decide whether or not military representatives should take parliamentary seats, adding that it’s difficult to say exactly how many of them should take seats. And he said it’s up to the will of all MPs to amend the constitution,” added Sai Thiha Kyaw.

HLEGU—Early on the morning of February 4, officials used force to remove the residents of Thamee Kalay Village in Sarbu Down Village tract, Hlegu Township, saying the villagers were living on the land of military forces. The government used a work force of more than 1,000 to destroy the village, which contained more than 150 households with more than 500 people.
People of all ages, including children and the elderly, had to abandon their homes without any chance of an appeal. Since then they have faced many difficulties in living, from a lack of sufficient food resources to serious physical and mental health challenges. After becoming instant refugees in just one day, many are experiencing nightmares.
National League for Democracy MP Phyo Min Thein (Hlegu Township), concerning the forced removal of the villagers, said that Thamee Kalay village was only created last year and thus was never an issue before that. So, public debate has erupted over whether it really existed or not.
In an interview with the Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB), Phyo Min Thein said that Thamee Kalay came into being early last year on the junction of four roads—Taikgyi, Phyugyi, Phaunggyi and Phayagyi. He said he never expected that Bangkok people from all walks of life would show their deep care and sympathy on the poor farmers who will never speak of their plight unless they were extremely suffered and could no longer stand up with the injustice.
He said all the funds raised would be spent to help farmers fighting for justice in the court and get their money back from the cheated government of the caretaker prime minister.
He assured that all farmers would get their money back while the Lawyers Association of Thailand would provide more than 5,000 lawyers nationwide who are members of the association to help take notes of their complaints to file to the court.

Female farmer: “I was promised payment from the BACC (Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives) but I haven’t received anything. I am begging PM Yingluck to pay us. I don’t have any money for my child to attend school. Yingluck, you have a child too, but you don’t have to worry about how to feed your son his next meal. Why are you so cruel?
My husband cautioned me against being arrested for appearing on stage today. I say, let the government go ahead and arrest me, a citizen that they robbed. If you have any compassion you would pay us! We don’t have anything left. If you don’t have the means to pay us, then step down and let someone else govern for once!”
