Thai govt declares 60-day state of emergency in Bangkok, adjacent areas starting tomorrow 22.to handle the protest.
The enforcement of the emergency decree will cover all of Bangkok and part of Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan provinces from Wednesday, caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul said.
Mr Surapong said the enforcement of the law is necessary to allow officials to control the anti-government protest situation and help protect democracy.
