Protest leader Suthep Thuagsuban led key members of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee to explain to representatives of seven business organizations about the model of their proposed People’s Council tasked with drawing up a national reform blueprint.
According o Suthep, the proposed People’s Council will be made up of 400 members of which 300 will be elected from various professional groups and the remaining 100 to be selected from resourceful persons by the committee.
Members of the council must not be members of any political parties and must not contest an election in the past five years, said the former Democrat MP.
