กาชาดขาดแคลนเลือดหนัก เหตุได้รับผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์ไม่ปกติศูนย์บริการโลหิตแห่งชาติ สภากาชาดไทย วิกฤตขาดแคลนโลหิต เหตุได้รับผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์ไม่ปกติ ซึ่งทำให้หลายหน่วยงานทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชนที่อยู่ในพื้นที่ใกล้เคียง และได้รับผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์ดังกล่าว เลื่อนการรับบริจาคโลหิต อีกทั้ง ประชาชนไม่สะดวกเดินทางมาบริจาคโลหิต ที่ศูนย์บริการโลหิตแห่งชาติ ถ.อังรีดูนังต์ จนทำให้ได้โลหิตไม่ถึงเป้าหมาย คือ 1,500 ยูนิต/วัน ได้โลหิตเฉลี่ยเพียง 1,000 ยูนิต/วัน เกิดการขาดแคลน สะสมต่อเนื่อง มาตั้งแต่เดือนพฤศจิกายน 2556 และมีแนวโน้มลดต่ำลง ในขณะที่ ความต้องการของผู้ป่วยในโรงพยาบาลต่างๆ ทั่วประเทศ มากถึง 3,000 ยูนิต /วัน

BANGKOK, Dec 2 – A Bangkok hospital doctor confirmed on Monday that two people suffered gunshot wounds, one critically injured, in clashes between police and anti-government protesters. Another 78 persons were injured in the continuing violence.

Both were shot in the Chamai Maruchet Bridge and Benjamabopit Intersection area near Government House.

Ramathibodi Hospital Faculty of Medicine Dean Dr Winit Puapradit and a team of physicians told a news conference that the two patients underwent surgery. However, one man is in critical condition as a bullet hit his chest and stuck in his back. There is a chance of him being paralysed if he survives.

The other patient was shot in his right leg, but the bullet was removed from his body. His condition is gradually improving, the doctor said.

Dr Winit urged all parties concerned to refrain from using force and live ammunition to prevent further loss. His colleagues also said they hoped the situation would return to normal soonest.  
 
Air Vice Marshal Vicharn Peawnim, a forensic doctor at Ramathibodi Hospital, said the wound analysis indicated that the two patients were hit by 9mm bullets but the bullet trajectory has yet be determined. It is unclear who shot them both, pending further examination by the Justice Ministry’s Central Institute of Forensic Science.  

The Erawan Emergency Centre of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration reported that 78 protesters were injured in today’s clashes.

The protest-related death toll has been revised downward from four to three.

Public Health Minister Pradit Sinthavanarong said the number of casualties stands at 94, most of them were hurt by tear gas firing by police at protesters. He also confirmed that two of the injured were shot and hospitalised.

The government however denied allegations that the police used live ammunition to disperse protesters who want to unseat the Yingluck Shinawatra administration and eradicate what they call the “Thaksin regime”.

Police fired tear gas and water cannons for a second consecutive day today. They also fired rubber bullets for the first time as the clashes intensified. Protesters fought back with homemade explosives, rocks and slingshots. They also commandeered garbage trucks and bulldozers to ram co
