I am Nay Myo Zin.
Since I was freed from Prison lately under Amnesty on 13 January 2012,
I have been working at Myanmar Society Development Network.
With community help and donations the organization has been able to launch 16 drilled wells,58 water pumping machines and 28 village libraries.
Other activities include helping the flood victims, organizing 29 mobile computer training courses,free of charges. More than 3000 youth in remote rural areas have been given training regarding the use of internet.
We have also donated and distributed more than 20,000 “Internet Made Easy” materials and “Computer Training Handbooks” to the young people in rural areas.
Community contribution and donations for the rural poor through the Social Development Network amount to kyats 1500 lakes and the donations were systematically documented and accounted for.
Now, our organization in collaboration with Myanmar Government,Ministry of Livestock,Fishery & Rural Development, is working as an NGO.
We concentrate on the remote rural areas which are lagging very much behind in development and thus we help mental,literary and technological know-how.
Solar panels,batteries and DC/LED tubes were donated and distributed to school teachers in rural villages in Irrawaddy Division and there are plans for continuing donations.
In fact, these donations came from Myanmar citizens residing abroad at present.
The Ministry of Livestock,Fishery and Rural Development currently provided financial support of kyats 125 lakes as initial capital for organizing at least 5 mobile computer training units using solar energy.
Invitations have been extended to donors from abroad to donate lab-top computers.
The lab-tops are being collected to be re-sold at reasonable prices to the users.
