ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံတြင္ အီးေမးလ္(E-mail) တစ္ေစာင္လွ်င္ ေထာင္ ၁၅ ႏွစ္ျဖင့္ E-mail ေလးေစာင္အတြက္ ေထာင္အႏွစ္ ၆၀ သတ္မွတ္ခံခဲ့ရေသာ ႏုိင္ငံေရးသမားမ်ား၊ ေထာင္ဒဏ္အႏွစ္ ၁၀၀ နီးပါးအထိ သတ္မွတ္ခံခဲ့ရေသာ ႏုိင္ငံေရးသမားမ်ားအတြက္ ယင္းကဲ့သို႔ ျပင္းထန္ေသာ အေရးယူမႈမ်ား ျပဳလုပ္ေလ့ရွိေသာ္လည္း ကေလးသူငယ္မ်ားကို မေတာ္မတရားျပဳသူမ်ား အပါအ၀င္ ဒုစ႐ုိက္သမားမ်ားကိုမူ အဘယ္ေၾကာင့္ ေထာင္ဒဏ္ အနည္းငယ္သာ က်ခံေစရသနည္းႏွင့္ မၾကာခဏ လႊတ္ေပးရသနည္းဟု လူမႈစီးပြားေရး ေလ့လာသူတစ္ဦး(ႏုိင္ငံျခားသား) က ေျပာဖူးသည္။

ယင္းမွာ ယင္းဒုစ႐ုိက္သမားမ်ား၏ ဒုစ႐ုိက္လုပ္ငန္းမ်ားသည္ အာဏာပိုင္တို႔အတြက္ ျပႆနာဟု မယူဆ၍ ေသာ္လည္းေကာင္း၊ တစ္နည္းအားျဖင့္ ယင္းတို႔၏ (အာဏာပိုင္ ပုဂၢိဳလ္တို႔၏) မိသားစု၀င္မ်ား အတြက္ အႏၲရာယ္ မရွိေသာသူမ်ား၊ မိမိတို႔၏ လံုျခံဳေရး အျပည့္ျဖင့္ ေနႏုိင္သူမ်ား၊ တစ္ဖန္ ယင္းဒုစ႐ုိက္သမားမ်ားကို လိုသလို သံုးႏုိင္ရန္ ျဖစ္ႏုိင္၍ ေသာ္လည္းေကာင္း ျဖစ္မည္ဟု ၎၏ ထင္ျမင္ခ်က္ကို ဆက္လက္ေျပာပါသည္။

လူမႈစီးပြား ေလ့လာသံုးသပ္သူတို႔သည္ သာမန္အားျဖင့္ ဘက္စံုေထာင့္စံုမွ လူမႈစီးပြား အေျခအေန အရပ္ရပ္ကို သ႐ုပ္ခြဲေလ့လာကာ၊ ယင္းတို႔ ေလ့လာေတြ႕ရွိခ်က္မ်ားကို အေျချပဳကာ ယင္းႏုိင္ငံအသီးသီး၏ အစိုးရ အဖြဲ႕အစည္းမ်ား၊ ရင္းႏွီးျမႇဳပ္ႏွံသူမ်ား အစရွိသည့္ အစီရင္ခံစာမ်ားတြင္ ေရးသားေလ့ရွိသည္။

ယေန႔ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံသည္ ကမၻာ့ႏုိင္ငံ အမ်ားအျပား၏ အေကာင္းျမင္ ႐ႈေထာင့္မ်ားမွ စိတ္၀င္စားခံရေသာ ႏုိင္ငံျဖစ္ေနေသာ္လည္း ယင္းကဲ့သို႔ ဒီမိုကေရစီစနစ္ကို အဟန္႔အတား ျပဳေစႏုိင္သည့္ (တစ္နည္းအားျဖင့္ ဒီမိုကေရစီစနစ္ကို ခ်ည့္နဲ႔ သြားေစႏုိင္သည့္) အျပဳအမူမ်ားကို ႀကိဳတင္ ကာကြယ္တားဆီးႏုိင္မွသာ အနာဂတ္ ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံသည္လည္း သာယာ၀ေျပာေသာ ႏိုင္ငံ (Welfare State) စာရင္း၀င္ ႏုိင္ငံအဆင့္သို႔ တက္လွမ္းေရာက္ရွိ ႏိုင္ေပလိမ့္မည္။

THAILAND: International Court of Justice (ICJ) sets Nov 11 for judgement on Preah Vihear conflict

BANGKOK, 12 November 2013 (NNT) – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has affirmed the Thai military troops will not be withdrawn from the disputed border area as required by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) until a meeting is held between the Thai and Cambodian governments. The premier said the security personnel will stay put while Thailand awaits a conclusive meeting with the Cambodian side. In its ruling, the ICJ has requested that both nations sort out their differences through peaceful means. The Foreign Ministry is in the process of arranging the bilateral meeting while a subcommittee will be established to study details of the latest ICJ ruling. Prime Minister Yingluck reiterated that the verdict created a win-win situation for both countries and there have been no reports of border clashes as previously anticipated. The ruling awarded Cambodia a disputed promontory bearing Phra Viharn Temple on the border with Thailand. However, the court denied Cambodia’s sovereignty over Phnom Trap or Phu Makhua, which is part of the 4.6-square-kilometer overlapping area.

 Thai military top brass have met with their Cambodian counterpart on Monday morning to boost ties between the two countries before the International Court of Justice’s ruling in the afternoon.Lt. Gen. Chanchai Phoothong, chief of Army Region 2 along with other high ranking Thai military officers have just met with Gen Chia Mon, Cambodia’s deputy army chief and his team at a hotel in Surin, a province on the Thai-Cambodian border to talk on how to ensure peace after the ICJ ruling.Both sides agreed to increase channels of communication to better understand each other which will lessen risks of misunderstanding that can lead to arm clashes, according to Lt. Gen Charnchai.

SEOUL, Oct 16 – The International Court of Justice (ICJ) will judge on the border dispute between Thailand and Cambodia on November 11, the Thai foreign minister said today.

Surapong Tovichakchaikul, deputy prime minister and foreign minister, who is currently visiting South Korea said the Thai government would broadcast live the ICJ’s judgement together with a Thai translation.

He said he would chair a meeting of the Thai ad hoc committee to discuss measures to cope with the ruling, no matter what the results will be, and future procedures for joint management on the Thai-Cambodian border.

He expressed strong confidence that Thailand and Cambodia would come to an understanding thanks to a good relationship with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Mr Surapong said he did not believe in the success of those who want to instigate unrest in case the judgement is unfavourable to Thailand.

“The present government is capable of holding talks with the Cambodian counterpart. It’s different from the previous government which ruined the bilateral relationship to the point that Cambodia had to bring up the issue in the international court,” said Mr Surapong. (MCOT online news)

Three suspects allegedly involved in recent bomb blasts and attempted bombings in Yangon, Mandalay and Taungoo have been detained for questioning, according to concerned officials and official reports.

Time bomb blasts in Yangon Region were said to have been conducted by groups, but police managed to arrest a key alleged suspect in Mon State yesterday morning.

In connection with a series of bombings in Yangon Region, police arrested the suspect on his motorbike on Belin-Natgyi-Phapun Road in Mon State at 7:30 a.m. yesterday, said Police Lt-Col Win Ko, deputy chief of Mon State Police Force.

The suspect is 27-year old Saw Myint Lwin, who lives in Phapun Township, according to his National Registration Card. Among the bombings he is said to have planned or conducted was the bomb blast in Room 921 at Traders Hotel on Monday night.

“At 1:30 a.m. on October 15, the Special Branch sent us a photo and evidence of the suspect involved in the bomb blast and instructed us to pursue him immediately. According to the Yangon Region and Mon State police forces that carried out the search operation, the suspect came to Mon State from Yangon Region by car. The suspect was arrested on his way to Belin from Phapun as he drove his motorbike. We immediately handed over the suspect to Yangon Region Police Force,” said Police Lt-Col Win Ko.

Bomb plots outside Yangon keep police busy

On October 9, a mine wrapped in a polyethylene bag was discovered in a bus travelling from Nyaunglaybin to Phyu in Bago Region. The next day, a bomb blast occurred at Chanmyae Guest House in Bago Town. In connection with the incident, police have already identified a suspect, Saw Tun Tun, but are still in pursuit of him, Myanmar Radio and Television said yesterday.

US Embassy alerts travellers to Myanmar after recent bombings

In the wake of recent bombings in Myanmar, US Embassy alerted its citizens on October 15 to take caution in traveling around the country.

Since a week ago, seven Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) have detonated, or have been discovered and rendered safe in Yangon and other regions. The bombings have reportedly killed two people and injured several others, including an American tourist.

The Embassy has asked the US citizens to take appropriate caution especially in public places such as parks, markets, and bus stops, even though there is no indication that any of these bombings were specifically directed toward U.S. citizens. Travellers have been requested to remain aware of their surroundings, including local events; and monitor local news stations for updates. The Embassy recommended informing the authorities and leaving the area if anything suspicious is discovered.

The Embassy also advised the US travellers to enrol in the Department of State’s Smart Travellers Enrolment Program (STEP) at http://www.Travel.State.Gov.  STEP enrolment gives latest security updates and makes it easier for the U.S. embassy or nearest U.S. consulate to contact the travellers in case of emergency.  The Embassy also suggested enrolling directly with the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate if the internet access is not available.
