28 days long visa will be given to the Thais from Mae Sot to Burma by crossing Thai-Burma Friendship Bridge. The system will be started on 21 August 2013, Burmese immigration officer said. 70 days stay would be also allowed for the business personals, officer Sai Myint Aung added. The other foreigners would also be given the same visa on September.
Myanmar will allow visitors using the border crossings of Tarchileik, Myawady and Kawthaung via Thailand to go anywhere except restricted areas starting in August, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Information.
