Arakan Crisis:
Last year Arakan crisis had been the major concerns for all the people of Burma as well as for the global leaders. We reaffirm our position that Arakan crisis is immigration crisis and it must be dealt in accordance with 1982 Burmese Citizenship Law. We call for all parties concerned to respect democracy, human rights and rule of law handling Bengali illegal immigration issues. Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) has determined that it is time for Tomas Quintana to vacate his post as United Nations Human Rights Envoy to Burma. Collusion between Tomas Quintana and the so-called Rohingya Bengali was all too apparent by people around the world extinguishing impartiality and credibility of the envoy.

We are very saddened to learn that military offensive against KIA has been intensified recently and we totally denounce it. Our prayers are with Kachin brothers and sisters and we call for Burma military to halt all military offensive in Kachin state.
