Thai law enforcement authorities have decided to file a murder charge against former Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva

Thai law enforcement authorities have decided to file a murder charge against former Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva in the first prosecutions of officials related to a deadly 2010 crackdown on anti-government protests.
Investigators found Mr Abhisit possibly culpable in the death of a taxi driver because he allowed troops to use war weapons and live ammunition against protesters, Department of
Special Investigation (DSI) chief Tharit Phengdit said.
Mr Abhisit and former deputy prime minister Suthep Thaugsuban will be summoned to the DSI office on December 12 to be formally charged.
An inquest recently found that the taxi driver was killed by guns used by military personnel during the crackdown against protesters in Bangkok.
No comment was immediately available from Mr Abhisit, who is currently leader of the opposition.

A press conference with regards to the Letpadaungtaung Copper Mines was held by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi at Yangon Region Parliamentary Hall.at 11:45 AM this morning.
There she said that the progress of the investigation commission will be released at times and times, but will not meet the media in separate, She also said that the findings related to dispersion of the protesting camps will be released when the investigation is completed.
” It is necessary to keep in mind that the project has been implementing according to the agreements, as we are building the maintenance of Rule of the law, so the investigation will be conducted according to the law. The investigation will be performed giving priority to the rules of law, mutual understandings and win-winapproach. ” said DASSK to the reporters.
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi gives explanation regarding to the Reconstitutionof the Investigation Commission on Letpadaungtaung Copper Mine thatthe changes are made abiding by the procedures of Pyuthu Hluttaw. One more decision making authority is added in the order.
Nobody is arrested in Monywa due to the demonstration, but in Yangon it is heard that some are arrested. we are making enquiry about the arrests to Myanmar Police Force.: said Daw ASSK.
Regarding to the investigation on copper mine, only the outside expatriates will be consulted because if we take advices from government staff, ther will be mistrusts and suspects among the public” said Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
But she give waring that the investigation report will not give satisfactions to all parties or people. Some will agree but some will disagree.
” We will present as we find out, no more no less.: Daw Aung San Suu Kyi gives promise to the reporters.
