Burma-Arakan: close off 5 towns for tourism: Sittwe, Sandoway, Mrauk Oo and Kyauktaw

An order was issued on Friday, 31 August, to close off 5 towns for tourism: Sittwe, Sandoway, Mrauk Oo and Kyauktaw in Arakan State and Mongla in Shan State, according to tourist agencies in Rangoon and Tachilek. “That did not affect the trip by Thai tourists to Mongla, 1-3 September,” according to a tourist guide returning from the Mongla-Daluo border. (SHAN)-panglong org
