There is no plan to resume the Myitsone dam project, suspended by President Thein Sein last September, says Kachin State Chief Minister Lajun Ngan Hseng. He rejects allegation that the China Power Investment (CPI) had applied for temporary yellow cards for 500 Chinese engineers and workers for the said project. “The dissidents must have been confused with the Washawng-Kambaiti road construction project,” he says.
