A United Wa State Army (UWSA) delegation led by Vice President Xiao Minliang, Bao Youliang and Zhao Guo-ang left Panghsang for Lashio today. The meeting with regime representatives is scheduled on 1 October, according to a report from Sino-Burma border. Naypyitaw has already sent the Wa 1,000 sacks of rice since the signing of a new ceasefire pact on 6 September. Its company Hongpang has also been given the greenlight to restart its Yangon Airways flights in August. (SHAN)
