City Council of Berkeley passed Burma resolution in 2009: recognizing people uprising in August 8, 1988. The 8th of August has honored as a Burma Day in City of Berkeley. California; in addition, City Council allows us to raise not only the Union of Burma flag ( original 6-stars flag) but also fighting peacock flag in front of the Berkeley City Hall. Mary Nicely is one of the main individuals, who introduce the Burma resolution.
