Caretaker EC for Shan State Congress meets

The interim Executive Committee for Shan State Congress formed at the end of a 3-day conference at Loi Taileng, the Shan State Army (SSA) South’s main base across the border from Maehongson met for the first time yesterday (Saturday, 31 January 2009).

The meeting was attended by all the 7 EC members:

Kya Bo Long Lahu Democratic Union (LDU) Chairman
Sai Lao Hseng Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) Secretary
Sao Ood Kehsi Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) Member
Sai Hsiao Harn Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) Member
Khun Thurein PaO National Liberation Organization (PNLO) Member
Ta Ai Nyunt Wa National Organization (WNO) Member
Peunkham Payakwong Tai Coordination Committee (TCC) Member
