YANGON, 19 December 2008 (IRIN) – More assistance is needed to help survivors of Cyclone Nargis, despite significant progress on the ground, according to the first of three strategic Post Nargis Periodic Reviews released by the Tripartite Core Group (TCG).
Comprising three members each from the Myanmar government, Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the UN, the TCG seeks to facilitate cooperation between Myanmar and the international community.
