The Shan State Army (SSA) South’s Task Force 701, based on the Sino-Burmese border township of Namkham, is ready to assist in the relief efforts for people fleeing from the war in the neighboring Kachin State, according to a source close to the group. The SSA South signed ceasefire agreement on 2 December 2011. (SHAN)
