One Burmese Soldier Killed, Seven Injured in Fighting with SSA/SSPP

One Burmese soldier was killed and 7 were injured including a Major in the fighting with SSA/SSPP in Hsipaw Township, northern Shan State.
On 22 September at 1:30 pm a battle broke out between SSA/SSPP troops from battalion No. 725 under Brigade 36 led by Capt. Sai Yun and 50 Burmese soldiers from column 2 of LIB 506 led by Maj. Zaw Win Nai at Wan Pek village, Murng Tuen village tract, Hsipaw Township.
In the fighting, Burmese army lost one dead, Pte Hla Min Aung and others 7 wounded. They were identified as Maj. Zaw Win Nai, Lt. Aung Min Nai, Zaw Maung, company commander, Sgt. Nai Min. LCpl. Chit Soe, Lance Cpl. Win Myint Tun and Pte Aik Yean. SSA/SSPP suffers nothing. |
