4 passengers injured, one of whom who is a Shan seriously, when the cargo boat Wen Xing they had boarded was fired upon by two fast boats between Muong Mom and Ban Sampy, some 10 km north of the Golden Triangle. The attackers were believed to be members of the protection racket led by Naw Kham. The incident took place on 21 September. (ASTV Manger Online)
