Farmers in Mongkok sub-township-Thai company -Burma Army

Farmers in Mongkok sub-township, Monghsat township, say their paddy fields have been purchased by the Thai company working on a coal mining project at B 20,000 ($ 666.6) per acre rate. However, the Burma Army commander had given them only K 20,000 ($20) per acre, leaving them with little capital to start a new life. (SHAN)
