Lèse majesté charges filed against Robert Amsterdam’s book

Democrat MP Watchara Petthong has filed lèse majesté charges against Thaksin Shinawatra, Robert Amsterdam and editor of the Same Sky magazine Thanapol Eawsakul for the publication of the Thai version of the White Paper.
Watchara lodged the charges with the Crime Suppression Division on 19 Feb.
He said that he had urged House Speaker Chai Chidchob in Nov last year to forward the case to the national police chief to take legal action against these three persons, but nothing had happened. So he filed the charges himself, and gave police copies of the book as evidence.
He will also give copies of the book to the President of the Supreme Court on 21 Feb.
It was reported that the Thai version did not carry the name of Thanapol as the publisher.
