Unknown American shoots dead Karenni youth-victim was identified as Hla Khay from Karenni refugee camp No.1
The American who unknown name shot dead a Karenni youth on November 24 in Texas, Houston city as he was waiting for friends visit to his home, according to sources.
The victim was identified as Hla Khay from Karenni refugee camp No.1 in Southern Thailand. A local said the shooting occurred in Texas.
Hla Khay was struck in the stomach by the bullet and died in the hospital on November 24.
According to the close friend said, “He got shoot mid night of 23 and passed away at 24, around 5am at hospital and now the body is still in hospital Catholic Charity ( refugee agency) is taking the responsibility for that and now we just gathering and pray and encourage the family.”
The sources said that the killing area concern as black list area and lack of local authority and no webcam contracting on the road sides to secure the areas.
The body is now in the hospital and the police are still in investigation on the bullet hit to the stomach. The funeral will be held in the 2nd week of December unconfirmed date, the sources said.
